This European Standard deals with the technical requirements to minimize the specific railway hazards of self propelled road-rail machines-henceforward referred to as machines-and associated equipment, which can arise during the commissioning, the operation and the maintenance of machines when carried out in accordance with the specification given by the manufacturer or his authorised representative. Part 1 of EN 15746 defines requirements for approval of the machine by an authorised body; Part 2 defines requirements for the machine to be declared conformant by the manufacturer, except in the case of machines classified under Annex 4 of the Machinery Directive, which require a conformity check in conjunction with a notified body. Additional requirements can apply for running on infrastructures with narrow gauge or broad gauge lines, lines of tramways, railways utilizing other than adhesion between the rail and rail wheels and underground infrastructures. This European Standard is also applicable for machines and associated equipment that in working configuration are partly supported on the ballast or the formation. This European Standard does not apply to the following: the requirements for quality of the work or performance of the machine; the specific requirements established by the machine operator for the use of machines, which will be the subject of negotiation between the manufacturer and the infrastructure manager; running and working whilst not on rails; separate machines temporarily mounted on machines and associated equipment; demountable machines as defined in 3.2; trailers as defined in 3.3, including road-rail trailers. This European Standard does not establish the additional requirements for the following: operation subject to special rules, e. g. potentially explosive atmospheres; hazards due to natural causes, e. g. earthquake, lightning, flooding; working methods; operation in severe working conditions requiring special measures, e. g. work in tunnels or in cuttings, extreme environmental conditions such as: freezing temperatures, high temperatures, corrosive environments, tropical environments, contaminating environments, strong magnetic fields; hazards due to errors in software; hazards occurring when used to handle suspended loads which may swing freely. Other track construction and maintenance machines used on railway tracks are dealt with in other European Standards, see Annex G.This European Standard applies to all machines which are ordered one year after the publication date by CEN of this European Standard.
This European Standard specifies the technical requirements to minimize the hazards listed in Clause 4 which can arise during the commissioning, operation and maintenance of disabled/incapacitated passenger boarding vehicles when used as intended including misuse reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer, when carried out in accordance with the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorised representative. It also takes into account some requirements recognized as essential by authorities, aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE) manufacturers as well as airlines and handling agencies. This European Standard defines specific safety requirements for transporters/boarding vehicles for transporting/boarding incapacitated or disabled passengers as defined under 3.1, hereafter referred to as boarding vehicles. This European Standard applies to pedestrian controlled self-propelled boarding vehicles, self-propelled boarding vehicles with integrated driver's accommodation and towable boarding vehicles, used for moving disabled or incapacitated passengers at an airport between the terminal building and the aircraft ramp and to board and disembark those passengers to and from civil aircraft. This European Standard assumes that a disabled or incapacitated passenger may be accompanied by an attendant and may be seated in a wheelchair or reclining on a stretcher trolley. This European Standard also assumes that the types of wheelchairs which may be employed could be: a) standard type wheelchairs, e. g. in accordance with EN 12183; b) wheelchairs with or without occupant self-restraint system; c) aircraft aisle-width wheelchairs; d) non-standard wheelchairs used at airports; e) non occupant propelled wheelchairs; f) battery powered wheelchairs, e. g. in accordance with EN 12184. NOTE 1 It is assumed that battery powered wheelchairs would not be taken into the cabin of an aircraft. This European Standard does not apply to other forms of aircraft loaders not specifi
This European Standard defines the specifications and test methods for the construction, safety, rational use of energy and fitness for purpose, environment, classification and marking of room sealed storage water heaters for the production of sanitary hot water using LPG for:— vehicles as defined in article 1 of Directive 70/156/EEC (see 3.12);— caravan holiday homes;— agricultural, forestry and mobile machinery, and— boats;hereafter called \"appliance\".This standard applies to appliances:«— type Ci, €3 and Cs (room sealed, see CEN/TR 1749) with combustion air intake and outlet for the products of combustion (combined or not) in the wall or roof;— fitted with atmospheric burners;— appliances fitted with or without a fan on the combustion circuit;— using LPG at the pressure ^BPOO) indicated in EN 437, (for caravan holiday homes and boats see Annex A);— of nominal heat input not exceeding 7 kW (//,);— appliances whether connected to the water mains pressure or on board water supply;— appliances using, where appropriate, 12 V or 24 V DC electrical supply (or appliances with an additional230 V heating element). This standard does not contain all the necessary requirements for:— appliances which fulfil a dual purpose role of space heating and heating water for sanitary hot water use. This standard covers type testing only.
This European Standard defines the specifications and test methods for the construction, safety, rational use of energy and fitness for purpose, environment, classification and marking of room sealed storage water heaters for the production of sanitary hot water using LPG for: vehicles as defined in article 1 of Directive 70/156/EEC (see 3.12); caravan holiday homes; agricultural, forestry and mobile machinery, and boats;hereafter called \"appliance\".This standard applies to appliances: type C1, C3 and C5 (room sealed, see CEN/TR 1749) with combustion air intake and outlet for the products of combustion (combined or not) in the wall or roof; fitted with atmospheric burners; appliances fitted with or without a fan on the combustion circuit; using LPG at the pressure I3BP(30) indicated in EN 437, (for caravan holiday homes and boats see Annex A); of nominal heat input not exceeding 7 kW (Hi); appliances whether connected to the water mains pressure or on board water supply; appliances using, where appropriate, 12 V or 24 V DC electrical supply (or appliances with an additional 230 V heating element). This standard does not contain all the necessary requirements for: appliances which fulfil a dual purpose role of space heating and heating water for sanitary hot water use. This standard covers type testing only.
The limits in this International Standard aredesigned to provide protection for broadcastreceivers in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 1 000 MHz when used in the residential environment. Compliance with this standard may not provide adequate protection for new types of radio transmissions or receivers used in the residential environment nearer than 10 m to the vehicle, boat or device.NOTE 1 Experience has shown that compliance withthis standard may provide satisfactory protection for receivers of other types of transmissions when used in the residential environment, including radiotransmissions in frequency ranges other than thatspecified. This standard applies to the emission of electromagnetic energy which may cause interference to radio reception and which is emitted froma) vehicles propelled by an internal combustion engine, electrical means or both (see 3.1);b) boats propelled by an internal combustion engine, electrical means or both (see 3.2).Boats are to be tested in the same manner as vehicles except where they have unique characteristics as explicitly stated in this standard;c) devices equipped with internal combustion engines (see 3.3).See Annex G for a flow chart to help determine the applicability of CISPR 12.NOTE 2 Protection of receivers used on board the same vehicle as the disturbance source(s) are covered by CISPR 25.The measurement of electromagnetic disturbances while the vehicle is connected to power mains for charging is not covered in this standard. The user is referred to appropriate IEC and CISPR standards which define measurement techniques and limits for this condition.Annex H lists work being considered for future revisions.Residential Environment or traction batteriesThis standard does not apply to aircrafts, household appliances, traction systems (railway, tramway and electric trolley bus), or to incomplete vehicles. In the case of a dual-mode trolley bus (e.g. propelled by power from either a.c./d.c. mains or an internal combustion engine), the internal combustion propulsion system shall be included, but the a.c./d.c. mains portion of the vehicle propulsion system shall be excluded from this standard.
