本部分规定了家用和类似用途电器的基本术语。本部分适用于家用和类似用途电器相关标准的制修订以及其他相关技术文件的编制和技术交流活动。
GB 4706.1-2005的该章用下述内容代替:本部分适用于安装有家用烹调炉具、炉灶或类似用途的器具上部的电动吸油机的安全,其额定电压不超过250V。不打算作为一般家庭用,但在公共场所使用仍可能造成危险的器具,例如:打算在商店中、在轻工行业以及在农场中由非人员使用的吸油烟机,也属于在本部分的范围之内。尽可能从实际情况考虑,本部分所涉及到了在住宅和住宅周围中由人为因素而使器具造成的共同危险。本部分通常未考虑:——无人照看的幼儿和残疾人使用器具时的危险;——幼儿玩耍器具的情况。

The requirements of this Standard cover arc-fault circuit-interrupters (AFCIs) of the branch/feeder, outlet circuit, portable, and cord type intended for use in dwelling units. These devices are intended to mitigate the effects of arcing faults that may pose a risk of fire ignition under certain conditions if the arcing persists. AFCIs have a maximum rating of 20 A and are intended for use in 120-V ac, 60-HZ circuits. Cord AFCIs are rated up to 30 A. These devices are not intended to detect glowing connections. In these requirements the term device is used generically to apply to all of the devices covered by these requirements and is modified when the requirement does not apply to all types. An AFCI that is also intended to perform other functions, such as overcurrent protection, ground-fault circuit-interruption, surge suppression, any other similar functions, or any combination thereof, shall comply additionally with the requirements of the applicable Standard or Standards that cover devices that provide those functions. This standard contains a supplement covering the requirements for Leakage-Current Detector-Interrupters.

This part of this European Standard describes the methodologies to be used in a laboratory air tight chamber to test prototype or commercial air cleaner systems with a maximum flow rate of 1,000 m3/h used for the indoor air remediation. It applies to the treatment of atmospheres that are representative of the air inside buildings and workplaces. This protocol applies solely to photocatalytic systems alone or to combined systems that include a photocatalytic function. This photocatalytic function is demonstrated by verifying the mineralisation of model VOCs to form CO2.
This part of ISO 16000 defines test methods of the performance of VOC detectors that are designed to monitor indoor and living atmosphere VOC level as well as to control indoor air quality in portable, mobile, and remote applications. The provisions in this standard cover the VOCs detectors as well as the detectors for individual VOC. This standard sets out only the requirements applicable to a test method standard of VOC detectors such as response time, stability, and measuring range as well as recommendations for test gases. VOC detectors detect specifically VOCs as target compounds. Test methods for assessing the performance of VOC detectors are defined. VOC detectors are classified into two categories; one is for specific VOC detection and the other for VOC mixtures (VOCs). In the case of the specific VOC detector, the target VOC concentration is provided upon testing of a standard test gas containing the VOC as one component. To improve the reliability of the VOC detectors, the standard sets out test methods of VOC detectors which also evaluate response time, stability, poisoning and so on.
