1.1x00a0;This consumer safety specification establishes safety performance requirements, test methods, and labeling requirements to minimize the hazards to infants presented by infant inclined sleep products as identified in the introduction. 1.2x00a0;This consumer safety specification is intended to minimize the risk of injuries to infants resulting from normal use and reasonably foreseeable misuse or abuse of infant inclined sleep products. 1.3x00a0;This consumer safety performance specification covers a free standing product with an inclined sleep surface primarily intended and marketed to provide sleeping accommodations for an infant up to 5 months old or when the infant begins to roll over or pull up on sides, whichever comes first. It also covers a smaller product intended for newborns up to 3 months old or when newborn begins to wiggle out of position or turn over in the product or weighs more than 15 lb (6.8 kg), whichever comes first. It also covers infant and newborn inclined sleep product accessories, which are attached to, or supported by, another product with the same age or abilities, or both, as the free standing products. If the inclined sleep product can be converted into a product for which another ASTM standard consumer safety specification exists, the product shall meet the applicable requirements of that standard. For example, an inclined sleep product that can have the recline angle adjusted below 10x00b0; shall also comply with the applicable requirements of Consumer Safety Specification F2194. 1.4x00a0;No infant inclined sleep product produced after the approval date of this consumer safety specification shall, either by label or other means, indicate compliance with this specification unless it conforms to all requirements contained herein. 1.5x00a0;The following precautionary caveat pertains only to the test method portion, Section 7, of this consumer safety specification: This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

This standard deals with the artificial of hospitals. In doing so certain kinds of interiors are defined from the lighting engineering point of view and requirements for those concerning illuminances, light-colours, colour rendering properties and glare limitation are stated.
The technical report DIN CEN ISO/TR 12296 provides guidance for assessing the problems and risks associated with manual patient handling in the healthcare sector, and for identifying and applying ergonomic strategies and solutions to those problems and risks. Its main goals are - to improve caregivers' working conditions by decreasing biomechanical overload risk, thus limiting work-related illness and injury, as well as the consequent costs and absenteeism, and - to account for patients' care quality, safety, dignity and privacy as regards their needs, including specific personal care and hygiene. It is intended for all users (or caregivers and workers) involved in healthcare manual handling and, in particular, healthcare managers and workers, occupational safety and health caregivers, producers of assistive devices and equipment, education and training supervisors, and designers of healthcare facilities. Its recommendations are primarily applicable to the movement of people (adults and children) in the provision of healthcare services in purposely built or adapted buildings and environments. Some recommendations can also be applied to wider areas (e. g. home care, emergency care, voluntary caregivers, cadaver handling). The recommendations for patient handling take into consideration work organization, type and number of patients to be handled, aids, spaces where patients are handled, as well as caregivers' education and awkward postures, but do not apply to object (movement, transfer, pushing and pulling) or animal handling. Task joint analysis in a daily shift involving patient handling, pulling and pushing or object handling and transport is not considered.
This European Standard describes the specific Design for PRM use´ requirements applying to rolling stock and the assessment of those requirements. The following applies to this standard: - the definitions and requirements describe specific aspects of Design for PRM use´ required by persons with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility as defined in the PRM TSI; - this standard defines elements which are universally valid for obstacle free travelling including toilets, elements for sitting, standing and moving and clearways and internal doors. The definitions and requirements of this standard are to be used for rolling stock applications; - this standard only refers to aspects of accessibility for PRM passengers. It does not define general requirements and general definitions; - this standard assumes that the rolling stock is in its defined operating condition; - where minimum or maximum dimensions are quoted these are absolute NOT nominal requirements. The 'Equipment and Components' standard is written in three parts: - this document is Part 1 and contains: -- toilets; - part 2 contains: -- handholds; -- seats; -- wheelchair spaces; - part 3 contains: -- clearways; -- internal doors.
This part of ISO 12217 specifies methods for evaluating the stability and buoyancy of intact (i.e. undamaged) boats. The flotation characteristics of boats vulnerable to swamping are also encompassed. The evaluation of stability and buoyancy properties using this part of ISO 12217 will enable the boat to be assigned to a design category (A, B, C or D) appropriate to its design and maximum total load. This part of ISO 12217 is principally applicable to boats propelled by human or mechanical power of 6 m up to 24 m hull length. However, it can also be applied to boats of under 6 m if they do not attain the desired design category specified in ISO 12217-3 and they are decked and have quick-draining recesses which comply with ISO 11812. In relation to habitable multihulls, this part of ISO 12217 includes assessment of vulnerability to inversion, definition of viable means of escape and requirements for inverted flotation.

The flotation characteristics of craft vulnerable to swamping are also encompassed. The evaluation of stability and buoyancy properties using this part of ISO 12217 will enable the boat to be assigned to a design category (C or D) appropriate to its design and maximum load. This part of ISO 12217 is applicable to boats of hull length less than 6 m, whether propelled by human or mechanical power, except habitable sailing multihulls. Boats of hull length less than 6 m which are fitted with a full deck and quick-draining cockpit(s) complying with ISO 11812 may alternatively be assessed using ISO 12217-1 or ISO 12217-2 (for non-sailing and sailing boats, respectively), in which case higher design categories may be assigned. In relation to habitable multihulls, this part of ISO 12217 includes assessment of vulnerability to inversion, definition of viable means of escape and requirements for inverted flotation.
This standard specifies safety requirements and the corresponding test methods for fixed or folding reclinedcradles intended for children up to a weight of 9 kg or who are unable to sit up unaided. This standard applies also to car seats complying with ECE 44 that can be used as reclined cradles according tomanufacturer’s instructions. This standard does not apply to reclined cradles when used as swings. If a reclined cradle has several functions or can be converted into another function the relevant Europeanstandards apply to it (see Annex B).
