The document applies to all vertically hinged or pivoted doors. The document specifies the method to be used to determine the permanent deformation caused when static stress in torsion is applied to an open door leaf fixed in its own door frame as part of a doorset.
This European Standard specifies a method for characterizing the influence on fire performance ofitems of building hardware for incorporation into hinged or pivoted vertically installed fire doorassemblies (having either one or two leaves) or vertically installed openable window assemblies, ofknown fire resistance of up to and including 240 minutes integrity (and where relevant insulation) inaccordance with EN 1634-1. It applies to the testing of building hardware for use on hinged andpivoted doors and openable windows which include framed glazed doors and windows, but not glassdoors. It does not include a test for durability or other performance characteristics, which should beevaluated according to the product standard for the item of building hardware or as given inEN 14600.The method is suitable for characterizing building hardware for use on non-metallic door or windowassemblies consisting of cellulosic materials or mineral boards faced with cellulosic materials, hung ineither cellulosic, mineral cored or metal frames: or conventional steel doors made from sheet steel, not more than 1,5 mm thick, hung in steel frames (steel doors include doors filled with mineral boardor mineral fibre cores but not steel clad timber/cellulosic doors). The size of these assemblies can beup to that given in the field of direct application for the door leaf construction concerned. This method is not directly appropriate for evaluating building hardware for use on glass or glazeddoors with decorative perimeter framing. The appropriateness of this method of test can beestablished by reference to the flow chart given in Annex A.This European Standard does not constitute a fire resistance test for a leaf, window, frame, intumescent seal, or anything other than the selected item of building hardware. The use of anyresulting field of direct application is restricted to leaf and frame constructions which have beensuccessfully tested to EN 1634-1. The method has been developed primarily to permit the evaluationof building hardware for hinged or pivoted door assemblies and openable windows, but the method isalso suitable for evaluating some items of building hardware, which are non-edge mounted, for usewith sliding doors and openable windows.

1.1 GeneralThe European reference data model for public transport is an offer to public transport companies and otherproviders of services related to the process of passenger transportation and information, to suppliers ofsoftware products supporting these processes, and to consultants and other experts acting in the field ofpublic transport in the widest sense. The reference data model can support the development of software applications, their interaction orcombination in an integrated information system, and the system‘s organisation and information managementwhich rules the utilisation of the existing telematics environment in a company (or group of companies)running computer applications supporting the different functional areas of public transport.Although primarily designed to document the information needs of a public transport company in a welldefined and structured way, the reference data model can also serve as a starting point and reference for thedefinition of a database schema. A database schema is needed for the physical implementation of datastorage systems to be used by applications directly, or for exchange of data between applications viainterfaces. Apart from that, such a database will often additionally be used as a source of information for thecompany management and/or as an information pool for all employees who may need access to theinformation basis of the company.1.2 OverviewThe data model describes elementary data needed fornetwork description; andversions management.that are used in several functional domains as basic concepts. The data model describes the information needs related to the following functional domains:tactical planning (vehicle scheduling, driver scheduling, rostering);personnel (driver) disposition;operations monitoring and control;passenger information;fare collection;management information and statistics. The standard takes into account the:multi-modal public transport operation;multiple operators environment.Licensed Copy: Wang Bin, na, Mon May 15 07:59:15 BST 2006, Uncontrolled Copy, (c) BSI
This European Standard specifies requirements and test methods for storage units (see 3.1) used in laboratories. This European Standard specifies strength, durability and safety requirements to prevent serious injury through normal functional use, as well as misuse that might reasonably be expected to occur.Safety, depending on the structure of the building, is not included e.g. the strength of wall hanging cabinets includes only the cabinet and its parts. The wall and the fixing in the wall are not included. It should be understood that the tests do not ensure that structural failure will not eventually occur as a result of habitual misuse or after an excessively long period of service.Assessment of ageing, degradation and the heating effect of appliances are not included nor are ergonomic aspects or resistance to fire.
