This part of BS 4875 specifies performance requirements for thestrength and durability of the structure of domestic and contract storage furniture. It is applicable to entire articles of furniture, fully assembled and ready for use.This part of BS 4875 is not applicable to the safety of domestic storage furniture.NOTE Safety requirements and test methods for domestic and kitchenstorage units are specified in BS EN 14749:2005.This standard is not applicable to kitchen storage furniture, officestorage furniture or storage furniture intended for educational use.
