This standard provides standardized dimensions for lithium-ion battery cells as a design requirement for battery systems used in electrically propelled road vehicles. It also specifies the dimensions, the position and shape of the terminals and the over-pressure safety devices as well as basic requirements for the stability of the terminals. This standard is related to pouch and prismatic cells.
