This standard defines the requirements for safety of the equipment, its installation, inspection and maintenance, whereas abstacles and local conditions of the environment (e. g. streets, parking places, fences) are excepted. This standard does not apply for playground equipment according to DIN EN 1176, for multi-sports-equipment according to DIN EN 15312 or fitness-path. Beach sports equipment according to this standard are not designed for children under 36 months.
