1.1 This specification covers the requirements for continuous glass filament sewing thread; and continuous filament cord, untreated and neoprene treated. 1.2 This specification is intended to assist ultimate users by designating the types of these products that are typical in the industry. 1.3 This specification shows the values in both inch-pound units and in SI units. \"Inch-pound units\" is the technically correct name for the customary units used in the United States. \"SI\" units is the technically correct name for the system of metric units known as the International System of Units. The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard; the values in SI units are provided as information only. 1.4 The following precautionary caveat pertains only to the test methods portion, Sections 22 through 33, of this specification. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. Note 1-This specification is one of a series to provide a substitute for Military Specifications: MIL-Y-1140H Yarn, Cord, Sleeving, Cloth, and Tape-Glass MIL-C-9084C Cloth, Glass Finished for Resin Laminates

The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the standard.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

This standard defines terms used in the plastics industry, including terms and definitions appearing in plastics standards (of ISO/TC 61), and general terms and definitions of polymer science used in all aspects of plastics technology.
This document describes a method to detect the use of certain azo colorants that may not be used in the manufacture or treatment of certain commodities made of textile fibres and that are accessible to reducing agent with and without extraction. Azo colorants accessible to reducing agent without extraction are those used to colour with pigments or to dye - cellulosic fibres (e. g. cotton, viscose), - protein fibres (e. g. wool, silk), and - synthetic fibres (e. g. polyamide, acrylic). Azo colorants accessible with extraction are those used to dye man-made fibres with disperse dyes. The following man-made fibres can be dyed with disperse dyes: polyester, polyamide, acetate, triacetate, acrylic and chlorofibre. The method is relevant for all coloured textiles, e. g. dyed, printed and coated textiles.
This British Standard specifies requirements for the safety of children’sbeds for domestic use with a maximum internal width of 1 000 mm anda maximum height of bed base of 600 mm .The requirements apply to children’s beds that are fully assembled andready for use. This British Standard does not apply to beds for adults, foldawaybeds, bunk and high beds, cabin/mid-height beds, children’s cots, bedside cots and children’s cots that allow free access for the child bymeans of a hinged opening or removal of some vertical bars/slats.This standard does not cover products that have been incorporated intochildren’s beds, for example luminaires, tables or storage furniture.
