The motive power for compressing the mixture is effected either mechanically (Annexes A, B), or hydraulically (Annexes C and D). EN 12629-1:2000+A1:2010 specifies general requirements applicable to machines for the manufacture of constructional products from concrete and calcium-silicate.This document specifies the additional requirements to and/or the deviations from EN 12629-1:2000+A1:2010 specific to the machines it covers.This European Standard deals with all significant hazards pertinent to these machines, when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).This European Standard specifies the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks arising from the significant hazards.This European Standard applies to the machines from the point at which the mixture enters the machine (see point 1 of annexes A, B, C, D) and the point where the pallets for concrete products are brought to the assembly (see point 8 at annexes C and D) until the point where the green products are removed from the machine to the curing system (see point 2 of annexes A, B, C, D).This European Standard deals with the hazards listed in Clause 4 which can arise during the operation and maintenance, including the interfaces, of the slide and turntable machines, when carried out in accordance with the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorised representative.This standard establishes safety requirements and/or methods of protection which apply to these machines.This document is not applicable to side and turntable machines, which are manufactured before the date of publication of this document by CEN.

(5)This standard does not apply to concrete members used only as equipment or construction aids for the execution. (6)This standard does not cover the specification, production and conformity of concrete. (7)This standard is not applicable to the production of precast concrete elements made in accordance with product standards. (8)This standard does not cover safety and health aspects of execution, or third party safety requirements. (9)This standard does not cover contractual issues or responsibilities for the identified actions. NOTE It is within the concept of this standard that supplementing requirements can be given for the individual project in the execution specification, on a national level in a national annex, or on a general basis in European standards for special applications e. g. standards for special geotechnical works.

This document specifies three test methods for the estimation of the freeze-thaw resistance of concrete with regard to internal structural damage. It can be used either to compare new constituents or new concrete compositions against a constituent or a concrete composition that is known to give adequate performance in the local environment or to assess the test results against some absolute numerical values based on local experiences.Extrapolation of test results to assess different concrete i.e. new constituents or new concrete compositions requires an expert evaluation. NOTE Specification based on these test methods should take into account the behaviour of concrete under practical conditions. There is no established correlation between the results obtained by the three test methods. All tests will clearly identify poor and good behaviour, but they differ in their assessment of marginal behaviour.

This Technical Report describes test methods, that when completed, will produce eluates for the assessment of inorganic and organic substances potentially released from either the constituents of concretes (tested within hardened reference concretes) or from production concretes (or test pieces representative of production concretes) whether presented in the pre-hardened/precast state, fresh wet state or pre-packaged.
