This part of ISO 19901 provides requirements and guidance for the planning and engineering of marine operations, encompassing the design and analysis of the components, systems, equipment and procedures required to perform marine operations, as well as the methods or procedures developed to carry them out safely.
This part of ISO 19901 contains metocean design and operating considerations for offshore structures.
This part of ISO 19901 specifies methodologies for a) the design, analysis and evaluation of stationkeeping systems for floating structures used by the oil and gas industries to support 1) production, 2) storage, 3) drilling, well intervention and production, 4) production and storage, 5) drilling, well intervention, production and storage, and b) the assessment of stationkeeping systems for site-specific applications of mobile offshore units (e. g. mobile offshore drilling units, construction units, and pipelay units). Most stationkeeping systems used with the class of floating structures covered by a) are termed "permanent mooring systems", for which this part of ISO 19901 is applicable to all aspects of the life cycle and includes requirements relating to the manufacture of mooring components, as well as considerations for in-service inspections. Most stationkeeping systems used with mobile offshore units, the class covered by b), are termed "mobile mooring systems". Throughout this document, the term "floating structure", sometimes shortened to "structure", is used as a generic term to indicate any member of the two classes, a) and b). This part of ISO 19901 is applicable to the following types of stationkeeping systems, which are either covered directly in this document or through reference to other guidelines: - spread moorings (catenary, taut-line and semi-taut-line moorings); - single point moorings, anchored by spread mooring arrangements; - dynamic positioning systems; - thruster-assisted moorings. Descriptions of the characteristics and of typical components of these systems are given in Annex A.
This part of BS 7121 gives recommendations for the safe use of lorryloaders. Subjects covered include management, selection of equipment, selection and training of personnel, procedures and precautions, testing, inspection, maintenance and examination. This part of BS 7121 is intended to be used in conjunction withBS 7121-2, which provides general guidance on the inspection, testingand examination of all types of cranes.
This part of BS 7121 gives recommendations for the safe use of hydraulicgantry lifting systems (HGLS). Subjects covered include safe systemsof work, management, planning, selection, erection and dismantling, inspection, testing, examination, training, operation and maintenance.NOTE 1 This part of BS 7121 has been developed along the lines ofBS 7121-1 with significant modifications to incorporate HGLS-specificaspects. The modifications include some information contained in theUS Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA) document,Recommended Practices for Hydraulic Jacking Systems [6].This part of BS 7121 is intended to be used in conjunction withBS 7121-2, which provides general guidance on the inspection, testingand examination of all types of cranes.NOTE 2 Annex A and Annex B give detailed recommendations on thetraining of HGLS personnel. Annex C provides background information onthe BS 7121 series.
This European Standard applies to vehicle mounted Hydraulic Platforms (HP's) as defined in 3.1, intended foruse by fire and rescue services. HP's may participate in fire fighting, rescue or protection of persons, protection of the environment and in a variety of other technical operations. This document identifies the significant hazards (see Clause 4) for all sizes of HP's used by fire and rescueservices, on the basis that they are supplied in a complete form, tested and ready for use. It also givesmethods for the elimination or reduction of these hazards. This document applies only to HP's classified ingroup B − type 1 according to EN 280:2001, 1.4.NOTE 1 HPs of group B − type 1 are those where the vertical projection of the centre of gravity of the load may beoutside the tipping lines and for which travelling is only allowed with the HP in its travel condition.Consequently this document does not apply to HP's with the following classification according toEN 280-2001, 1.4: group A − type 1; group A − type 2; group A − type 3; group B − type 2; group B − type 3.This document is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 1846-2 and EN 1846-3.This document deals with the technical safety requirements to minimise the hazards listed in Clause 4 whichcan arise during the commissioning, the operational use, the routine checking and maintenance of hydraulicplatforms when carried out in accordance with the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorisedrepresentative. This document deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to HP's, when theyare used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturerand taking account of their whole lifecycle (see Clause 4).NOTE 2 The lifecycle includes construction, transport, assembly and installation, commissioning, use (including setting,teaching/programming or process changeover), operation, cleaning, fault finding, maintenance, decommissioning, dismantling and, as far as safety is concerned, disposal. This document does not deal with the additional hazards for: use in underground work (mines); use in potentially explosive atmospheres; flat belts for extending structure drive systems. This document is not applicable to HP's which were manufactured before the date of publication of thisdocument by CEN.
